Born across the bridge from Montreal on the French-speaking South Shore, Reid is award-winning writer whose films have played at Canadian and international festivals and have also been featured on short websites such as

He is the winner of SODEC’s Grand Prize for his short werewolf screenplay PHASES OF THE MOON.  As a result of his win, SODEC sent him to the 2016 Cannes Film Festival as part of SODEC Lab to attend the Producers Workshop. He has been a semi-finalist and quarter-finalist in several screenwriting competitions including Slamdance and Screencraft.

A graduate of Concordia University with a BFA in Film Studies and a Graduate Diploma in journalism, Reid has written for publications such as the Montreal Gazette and the Eastern Door on varies topics from pet cremation to suicide hotlines.

Reid is currently developing his next project, SPACEMAN, a surreal psychodrama web-series, as well as embarking on directing his first feature, VOLUNTEER, a dark comedy/drama about suicide hotline volunteers.
