Underwear is the final part of the identity short film trilogy directed by Ivan Madeira.
Starring Moj Taylor (Francis) and Genna Foden (Rebecca) Underwear focusing on moments within a couple’s relationship that aren’t as quite as they initially seem. Francis decides that he’s unhappy with life. Rather than continuing to live like this he decides to go on the hunt for happiness. As beautiful and idealistic it may sound, at what cost will it bring to the people around you as you go on your journey of self discovery.
Written by Ivan Madeira and William Whitfield, Underwear explores further the themes raised in Grow Up and Can’t Get Past. Whereas Grow Up focused on a loss of ambition and goal, and Can’t Get Past focused on working out exactly which group you belong to due to growing up in a multi-cultural environment, Underwear takes these two concepts together and puts them in the setting of a relationship. The identity trilogy is the precursor to the feature film The Kick Inside which will take the identity trilogy and explore it as a full length dramatic feature. The feature is currently in the development stage, with a script to be completed by end of February 2012. This will also be written by William Whitfield and Ivan Madeira.
