TBT – Summer Jam

In 2009, I wanted to make some beats, and inspired by a variety of things, love, beats and whatever else I ended up making a beat and getting the awesome Chima Anya to spit on it. We took the sentiment of the original, which was about Otis Redding and his untimely death in a plane crash. William Bell took this story and turned it into something rather beautiful. Chima took this idea and then wrote a story about a woman on her death bed reflecting her life, what she did looking back with no regrets. 8 years on, the tune still lives on and here’s a little tribute to it.
