..and unfortunately it’s going to be a little bit longer until you will see anything from us. It’s not to say that we are neglecting you, but we are currently in the midst of pre-pre-production of work. What does that even mean? Finalising the script, finalisation of the story board. Once that’s done then we can work out assigning actors to the project, locations and then work out budget and schedule (i.e. production). Then the filming date can be set, and the painful task of trying to render a one minute segment on a MacBook will ensue.

Part of getting to this stage, is about the documentation of parts of the idea, and how Hentucky would approach making something. There is obvious a conventional theme around this which is fuelled from advice, heavy googling and just giving it a go based on intuition.

However the short film is entitled “Grow Up.”

Further details to be released at some point.

    On the road

    Posted in: Hentucky

With a new year a whole load of thoughts and ideas start running around taking over. Idealism, mixed with regret of having just one too many portions of meat, one too many bottles of red and determination of trying to reflect and try to better oneself. Through the ideals of exercising, not drinking, staying in and saving money these ideas can either be short lived or the road to somewhere new and exciting.

So what point am I trying to make?

I think rather than trying to make a meat hangover resolution, I just want to reaffirm that the change that came about towards the end of last year is still here to stay, and with just a few little snippets of information here’s what to look forward to from Hentucky for the next coming months.

Film wise, we have got some equipment in for filming. Now trying to learn and get use to the beggar is another thing, but in the process of doing so, trying to give incite into the process will be documented. The idea for this will eventually build into the short film. This is slightly more complicated than just taking your camera out and filming yourself doing stupid shit over the soundtrack to My Chemical Romance. But again the ideas from initial idea to post production will be shown on this website to some extent.

Music wise, all music to accompany the little filming escapades on the short film are currently being worked on. It’s a whole fun experience writing and composing again, so lots of twinkly stuff to be coming your way (don’t you roll your eyes at me missy). Other band projects such as Kid Karoshi are still in full swing, with the band back in the studio writing new material. More of that to follow in the near future, including any gigs that may come up as well.

All the little projects that tie in or are related to whatever we are producing at Hentucky, from photography to random films to songs and random musings, will all be posted during the course of time.

So there you go, there is plenty to look forward to from Hentucky, so keep on checking back.

It’s that time of the year to reflect back not just on the last year but the last decade. There have been some fantastic albums that have come out over the last 10 years, which did not even make this poll. A lot of the ‘critics choice’ have been left out as yhis is about albums which helped to shape the decade for myself, Hentucky and for whatever else. It’s quite a personal poll, and you may not agree with it… but tough shit.
