Hentucky is a film and music production company based in London founded and run by Ivan Madeira.

It’s come a long way from its humble roots as a mixtape. Yep, an idea born around the idea of mixing SWV with Prefuse 73 and Chemical Brothers with the He-Man theme spurred of a series of mixtapes, subsequent website which contained a whole load of articles ranging from travel to mock problem pages, charity club nights and free parties around London and even the world.

That’s always been the idea behind Hentucky, being a creative harness for similar minded people to get together and get involved in something to help add a bit of something else to the daily routine of living life.

As time goes on so did Hentucky. All the randomness floating about has now seemed to fit into a more defined package as a film and music production company. The idea is to focus on big film and music projects, which Hentucky will be getting behind, and trying to produce. As we will be coming from the more roots approach, this doesn’t mean quality needs to be compromised at all. The real idea is all about achieving a special look, sound, and feel with using what you can (or can borrow).

What this leads to is the idea of harnessing innovation, talent, skill and the passion (yes we used the word passion) to create a body of work which is reflective of why the project came about in the first place.
