The Senior Blinky guise was something that was conceived over a badly thought out walk on cold winters day on February in Toronto. It was a coldest day of the year so far, and wearing only track suit bottoms without any base layer meant that a long walk turned into a painful defrosting session. However, as each painful increase in degree of temperature occurred when warming up once indoors, the Senior Blinky idea popped in and grew inside the head of songwriter and producer Ivan Madeira.

The idea was to have a solo project where he can bash away without any complaints from fellow band mates for considering doing a Sacrifice cover with absolute no irony; but also a project where asking friends and random guests to add their ‘little suttin suttin.’ With anything that starts of randomly it always grows into something special.

The Senior Blinky project is more than music aimlessly written to vent any musical genre curiosity, but is more of music to be constructed around a theme. The main theme is to accompany Hentucky film projects and to soundtrack that idea.

With any film project you will need to have the film itself playing its central role of influence; but Senior Blinky also focuses on themes inspired by any of these ideas.
