Hentucky

Music has always been the backbone of why Hentucky exists. The idea came on the back of a mixtape and wanting to bring that eclectic mix out into a club environment, but whilst trying to add a little purpose to the night. Eventually this grew, and so did the mixtapes which turned into podcasts and finally a host of own productions, from the mock-u-songs of Lady in Red (Blue Mountain remix) to slog your guts out hard work of band Kid Karoshi.

All Hentucky mixtapes by Kingpin can be found in the Hentucky section. The music section here is to exclusively focus on music projects, bands, solo work or even random collaborative stuff.

Kid Karoshi are a 5 piece (with various guests/secessionists) writing music with a whole wide of influences. The backbone is what can be described as a ‘livish electronish’ sound, combining both acoustic and electronic elements to produce maybe a more dancey inspired song to a bit of a soul ballad.

Senior Blinky is a project by Ivan Madeira, focusing on composing songs and writing beats around a theme. The main themes will be directly inspired by the Hentucky film projects, and he will be involved in scoring for the projects as well as any random left field ideas that come from this.

Time to Bed is a project simply put as “making tracks that they always wanted to make, without any irony”.
